Your University ID card grants you access to the Library as well as other University buildings and facilities.

If you do not have your University ID card you can are still able to access the library by use the 'Virtual ID' card on the My Liverpool App.
Through the 'Virtual ID' card on the My Liverpool App you are also able to borrow books on the self-service machines, renew, reserve books, and self-issue laptops.

If you do not have your University ID card or virtual ID you will not be able to borrow Items, however we are able to keep a book to one side for you for 24 hours, so that you can borrow it when you have your card.

Please note: the person named on the card is responsible for any items borrowed on it, do not use anyone else card or allow anyone else to use your card.

If you lose or damage your student University ID card, you will need to contact Student Administration for a replacement card. Please note that this may incur a replacement charge.

If you lose or damage your staff card, please refer to the University's Smart Card FAQ webpage for details on how to request a replacement. Please note that this may incur a replacement charge.

Please inform the library as soon as possible if your card is lost or stolen, to prevent anyone else using it.

Please note that you can still borrow items and enter and exit the library using the virutal ID card on the My Liverpool App. You can also borrow items at the help desk and enter and exit the library If you bring a printout of the confirmation email you receive when you apply for your new card to the Library with you to show at Reception.
