OSCOLA is the citation style that Law students need to use. OSCOLA is the Oxford Standard for the Citation of Legal Authorities, which gives guidance on how to cite and reference legal materials as well as books, journals and other sources of information in academic work.
A number of guides to using OSCOLA are available from the Referencing tab on the Law Library Guide. The 'Quick Reference Guide to OSCOLA' covers the basics and should be read in conjunction with the guide 'Creating a Bibliography in OSCOLA'.
These two guides will answer most questions that law students will have about the OSCOLA referencing style.
