DISCOVER searches are limited by default to just items that we have ready access to here at the University of Liverpool, whether full-text online or in print. When you search on DISCOVER, the 'Library Collections' limit is automatically applied.

If you want to expand your search to explore content that we don't necessarily have full-text access to, either:

  • click on the cross next to 'Library Collections' on the left hand side of the results page, or
  • uncheck the box next to 'Library Collections' in the 'Limit to' area on the left hand side of the results page.

If you are not interested in print resources, then remove the  'Library Collections' limiter first, and then click on the 'Full-Text Online' under 'Limit to'.

(If you apply both the  'Library Collections' and the 'Full-Text Online' limiters at the same time, then the effect is the same as 'Library Collections' alone - i.e. our print resources will be included.)

To access items not available at Liverpool, use either our Inter-Library Loans (for articles or books) or ArticleReach (journal articles only) service.
