We do understand that sometimes, through no fault of their own, Library users can incur fines. Therefore, in some situations where there are mitigating circumstances (e.g. illness, bereavement) the charge is negotiable. Speak to a member of staff or get in touch using one of the Contact Us options.

The Library fines system is in place to try and ensure fair and equal access to the Library holdings and not a way to punish people and make money.
