You can access eBooks and the Library's other e-resources via a tablet eg. an iPad, Android, Windows 8.1 or Kindle Fire. However you cannot access either the Ebrary or MyLibrary eBook collections using any Kindle device whether a tablet or an eBook reader. Access to most e-resources is possible via a Kindle eBook reader though this is not recommended: firstly, Kindle eBook readers are not formatted to read the Library's eBook collections; secondly, accessing PDFs and web pages is difficult as text cannot be reflowed or resized for comfortable reading.

To access eBooks and the Library’s other e-resources on a Kindle Fire tablet you need to have installed specific applications to do so. The Calibre app allows you to read resources in ePub format (except for Ebrary or MyLibrary collections). You can also install the BlueFire app on a Android, iOS and Kindle Fire tablets.
