You can access e-books and the Library's other e-resources via a tablet eg. an iPad, Android, Windows 8.1 or Kindle Fire. However you cannot access either the Ebrary or MyLibrary e-book collections using any Kindle device whether a tablet or an e-book reader. Access to most e-resources is possible via a Kindle e-book reader though this is not recommended: firstly, Kindle e- book readers are not formatted to read the Library's e-book collections; secondly, accessing PDFs and web pages is difficult as text cannot be reflowed or resized for comfortable reading.

To access e-books and the Library’s other e-resources on a Kindle Fire tablet you need to have installed specific applications to do so. The Calibre app allows you to read resources in ePub format (except for Ebrary or MyLibrary collections). You can also install the BlueFire app on a Android, iOS and Kindle Fire tablets.
