DISCOVER searches are limited by default to items that we have ready access to here at the University of Liverpool, whether full-text, online or in print. When you search on DISCOVER, the 'Available @ liverpool' limit is automatically applied.

If you want to expand your search to explore content that we don't necessarily have full-text access to, either:

  • in 'Search Options' click on the cross next to 'Available @ liverpool' on the left hand side of the results page, or
  • again in 'Search Options', uncheck the box next to 'Available @ liverpool' in the 'Limit to' area on the left hand side of the results page.

If you are not interested in print resources, then remove the 'Available @ liverpool' limiter first, and then click on the 'Full-Text Online' under 'Limit to'.

(If you apply both the 'Available @ liverpool' and the 'Full-Text Online' limiters at the same time, then the effect is the same as 'Available @ liverpool' alone - i.e. our print resources will be included).

To access items not available at Liverpool, use either our Inter-Library Loans (for articles or books) or ArticleReach (journal articles only) service.
