​Some E-Books subscribed by the University Library cannot be fully downloaded or printed and must be viewed via the provider’s Web site, you must remain connected to the Internet when viewing/ browsing these kind of E-Books.

To limit your search to only downloadable/ printable E-Books you can use the ‘Unrestricted’ option shown in the Library for Online Programmes by selecting this you will only see E-Book results which can be downloaded (e.g. as PDF) and printed.

You can browse the contents of a restricted E-Book using the navigation tools available, including contents listings and options to move forward or back through pages or chapters.

You should ensure you have the following software installed on your computer/device to access downloaded E-Books:

Students with our E-Learning partner, Laureate will be required to access some E-Books (particularly ‘compulsory textbooks’) using Laureate’s Vital Source platform, this platform requires installation of the Vital Source bookshelf software. Campus services are unable to offer detailed advice on Laureate issued-E-Books or other Laureate sourced items such as Laureate’s bookstore, Laureate’s Amazon Store etc. for support using Laureate’s E-Book and related platforms see Laureate’s Centre for Student Success.
