The printers within the libraries only print A3 and A4 pages. Posters require A1, A0, A2 or B0. This large scale printing has to be sent to the printers in the Computing Services Department (CSD), and output is collected from their building in Brownlow Hill. Printing services as a whole are managed by Computing Services rather than the Library.
You can however, send your poster to be printed from wherever you are (on or off campus) - see CSD Specialised Printing for further information. You would need to pay in advance, but this can be done online by credit/debit card. There's also guidance on creating and printing posters which might be useful. Poster printing can be collected weekdays between 8:30am and 5pm from the Brownlow Hill building.
If you have any problems to do with sending the poster to print, paying for it or collecting it you should consult Computing Services.
