An MWS (Managed Windows Service) username is the username created when registering for an University MWS account. If you're a member of the university, it's the username that you log on to the PCs with.
The MWS is the Computing Services Department facility that gives members of the University the use of all computing services, including access to PCs, email and the internet.
In order to use the Managed Windows Service, students and staff must register to create a University MWS username and password.
More details can be found on the MWS webpages.
