Facilities for viewing and scanning both microfilm/fiche are available in the main Liverpool Campus Library.
SYDNEY JONES LIBRARY
There are 3 machines available in the Microform Area on the Ground Floor of the Grove Wing near to Special Collections and Archives (SCA):
- a reader- scanner
- a film and fiche reader
- a film only reader.
To view see the attached file.
The reader-scanner allows both microfilm and microfiche documents to be digitised and then saved directly to a USB stick. The reader/scanner can be booked in advance or on the day (subject to availability). To make a booking please ask at the HelpDesk.
For details on using the digital scanner-printer click see the attached files.
For both the film and fiche reader and the film reader machines pre-booking is not required. The film only reader has the advantage of a larger viewing screen than the other two machines.
Please ask at the HelpDesk if you wish to use these machines.
There is also a read-only machine for viewing both film and fiche in Special Collections and Archives (SCA) on the Ground Floor of the Grove Wing. Contact for details.
