Information about data processing

The library is always looking to better understand and improve the experience we offer our students. In order to do this, it is helpful for us to collect some personal data from you; in particular, data about your experiences of the service we offer. We will use this data to help us to continue to improve.

You can find more information about how the University processes your data here: https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/legal/

We will keep your data for as long as necessary for the purposes outlined above. We would expect this to be no longer than two years.

What type of personal data will be collected and used

We will use the student ID to help us analyse service usage and feedback by broad student category, e.g. level of study (UG, PGT, PGR), programme, department, residence (UK, EU or Overseas) and year. We will not attribute any feedback to you personally in the reporting of any results.

If you provide a name and/or email address, we will use this to contact you about future opportunities to participate in focus group research.

Legal basis for processing your personal data

Processing is necessary for the legitimate interests pursued by the University of Liverpool.
