The library is still here for you but some of our services may look a little different at the moment.
For details about all of our resources and services, visit Getting Started With the Library.
For full details about using the library during the national lockdown, please see What does the national lockdown mean for using the Library?
With fewer study spaces available in the Library due to the introduction of new health and safety measures additional IT support has been introduced for users:
- Access to PC applications
If you need access to the Library to use specialist applications, the Remote Teaching Centre Service provides access to University PCs via Remote Desktop connection, allowing you to use the applications on those PCs, without needing to be on campus.
- Wifi support
Students with insufficient data/broadband speed to undertake academic work remotely can apply for the University WiFi Dongle scheme.
- Laptop loans
Students in financial hardship or those do not have a suitable electronic device to undertake their academic work remotely can apply to the University laptop loan scheme.
For further details see also this Student News posting.
