Overleaf is an online, collaborative LaTeX editor that allows users to create and share scientific and technical documents. You can register for a free account on the Overleaf website. Students may be eligible for a discounted rate on personal subscriptions to premium features with an Overleaf student account.
Researchers who previously accessed Overleaf via IEEE Collabratec will revert to the free version, as IEEE has withdrawn this benefit. However, existing collaborators, projects and tracked changes will remain accessible for historical projects.
Currently, the university does not have an institution wide Overleaf licence. Researchers or academics who require premium features should arrange funding individually or collectively through their department, school or faculty in consultation with their IT Business Partner.
Undergraduate students interested in learning LaTeX and using Overleaf can access our Introduction to LaTeX and Overleaf online tutorial available via KnowHow.
