A permalink (permanent link) is a stable URL (web address) that allows you to return directly to a library resource at a later time.
Sharing a permalink to an electronic journal article, rather than sharing a copy of the article itself, ensures the user abides by copyright legislation. Using permalinks also means usage is tracked, which informs the Library’s annual review of subscriptions - avoiding potential cancellations.
- Find the required item using Library Search.
- Click on the Permalink icon in the Send to section.
- The Permalink will appear, copy to the clipboard and paste into the required field.
