If your module reading list is no longer required there are two options:
- The reading list can be deleted permanently
- We can archive the list. If you choose to delete a list, once deleted it cannot be recovered.
If you choose to delete a list, once deleted it cannot be recovered.
If you choose to archive a list, it preserves a copy of that version of the list and is a great way to keep a history of your reading lists. The list can no longer be edited and is hidden from the main search which means that browsing or searching for the module reading list will not find the archived version of the list. However, it will still be accessible to anyone with a direct link to it and because it is preserved, it can be recovered at a future date.
If you want your reading list to be archived or you want to recover an archived list please get in touch with the Reading List Support Team.
Annually in mid-July we perform a rollover of all module published reading lists. Any draft or archived lists will not roll over. During rollover, the previous academic version of the list will be archived and a copy of the same list will be created, assigned the new academic year time period and be ready to edit once rollover has completed.
