An MWS (Managed Windows Service) username is created when registering for an University MWS account.
The MWS is the IT Services Department facility that gives members of the University the use of all IT services, including access to PCs, email and the internet.
Access to the MWS depends on your status within the University:
- New students and staff can self-register.
- If you are an online (Laureate) student, see the Library for Online Programmes.
- Non-members and visitors are not eligible to register for an MWS account, however visitor access to electronic resources is available.
If you have forgotten the PIN for My Library Account, see How do I log into My Library Account?
Note: When logging into the Library you should supply your UoL (MWS) username by typing just your username, e.g. jones321.
However, when logging into Zoom or Microsoft Office 365 applications such as Outlook, MS Teams and SharePoint, you should supply your UoL (MWS) username in the format username@liverpool.ac.uk, e.g. jones321@liverpool.ac.uk. Do not use your email alias.
