The library's policy on e-cigarettes follows the university Policy and Code of Practice on Smoking, which states:
"In line with guidance from the British Medical Association, the use of e-cigarettes in buildings and works vehicles capable of being used by more than one person is prohibited, primarily to ensure their use does not undermine existing restrictions on smoking in buildings/vehicles by leading people to believe it is acceptable to smoke."
The use of e-cigarettes within the libraries (vaping) is therefore prohibited.
For further information see The British Medical Association's (BMA) e-cigarettes report.
