We try to make all course materials to support your study and research available in suitable quantities.  However, there are occasions when this might not happen. It might be because we’ve not heard about a particular book ie  it’s on your module reading list but a review of the reading list hasn’t been requested by the lecturer or it could be that the publication is out of print or unavailable from our suppliers so hard to source.  On those occasions the suggestion of a scan of a chapter or section is offered. If the lecturer mentions a particular title in a lecture the library would unfortunately not hear about it.

We're very happy to take stock suggestions from everyone - students, researchers, and lecturers alike. If you find the item from your reading list in Library Search and all the copies are out, you can place a reservation on it and further copies will then be purchased through the high demand hold service.  If you find the item in Library Search but it’s not something the library has in stock, you can request we purchase it directly within the results using the Get It For Me (GIFM) service.

Alternatively, if you want to alert us about any issues with your module reading list, use this Feedback form to get in touch.
