The library prioritises digital over print. When an essential key text that has an entry on a reading list is not available as an eBook or only available as a limited license, we will initially purchase one print copy during our review process. However, if further copies are needed due to customer demand and funds permit, extra copies can be purchased.
To help us monitor which books are in greatest demand, you can help by taking these steps:
- Place a reservation on the book. As soon as a copy is returned, you will be notified that it's available for you to borrow and by what date you need to collect it from the Library. It also means that library staff are notified about the demand for the book.
- Request the book via Get It For Me, talk to staff at the library's Help Desks, or contact the Reading List Support Team, or contact your Liaison Librarian to let us know more copies are needed.
