If you are a new student or member of staff you do not need to join the library separately, your University ID card is automatically registered onto the library system, so your staff or student card is also your library card.
I've been accepted as a student. How soon can I start to use the library?
You can start using the library as soon as you have received your student ID card and you will also then be able to use the My Liverpool app for entry into the library and to borrow books. Please upload the app to your phone and go to the Library section.
Once you have registered with IT Services and have an MWS (Managed Windows Service) username and password, you will be able to access electronic resources. Please note that to be issued with a student ID card you need to first register with the University and upload a photograph of yourself.
Once you have a library account you can access your Library Account online, where you can view the items you have borrowed, check if they have renewed automatically or need to be returned, and pay fines. You can also access these services via the My Liverpool app.
