There are many ways to gain access to the Library's online resources when off campus, the easiest way is to use the Library's webpages (Library SearchDatabases A-Z list, etc). This allows you to access resources the exact the same way as being on campus, the only difference is that when off campus you will be prompted to login to view eResources with your MWS username and password. This is the username and password you use to log in to the University computers.

Access to online resources off campus can be obtained in the following ways:

  • Use the Library webpages as normal.
  • Use the links in Reading Lists.
  • Use the links in Library Services on the Student Intranet.
  • Use a free browser extension tool such as Endnote Click (formerly Kopernio).
  • Use the ‘login via your institution’ (or similar) option provided on resources websites (e.g. publisher websites).
  • Apps Anywhere, this can sometimes be a useful route if experiencing any technical issues related specifically to being off campus because Apps Anywhere replicates the on campus process of accessing eResources.

If you need any further help with using any of the above methods then please contact the Library using one of our 'contact us' options.
