We provide opportunities for local college and school students to visit and experience what an Academic Library has to offer. We can offer tours of either of our libraries, as well as hands-on academic skills workshops and sessions for Extended Project Qualifications (EPQs).

The maximum number of students we can take at one visit is 26 (this may be fewer, depending on the activity requested). If you would like to arrange a visit, please access our KnowHow page and complete our booking form. Please contact us at least four weeks in advance to ensure we can accommodate you as much as possible. We will respond within 3 working days.

School and college students can register to use the Library for reference purposes: please see the membership options page. Reference members can access some of our electronic resources, including eBooks and journals through our on-site library walk-in access PC. Please ask at the Help Desk.

The Victoria Gallery & Museum and the Garstang Museum of Archaeology, offer a range of opportunities for schools to engage with their wonderful collections and exhibitions. We offer a series of engaging sessions linked to the National Curriculum, led by our team of experienced facilitators and artists.
