Online resources held by the library are available to university members, via their Managed Windows Service (MWS) username and password. This is the username and password you use to log in to the University Computers.

Online resources can  be accessed via the Library webpages (Library SearchDatabases A-Z list, Library Guides).

On-campus, you do not need a further login to access most online resources. Off-campus you will usually be asked to log in with your MWS username and password.

The preferred way to access e-resources is via the Library website or through Apps Anywhere. You can also access e-resources via EndNote Click. EndNote Click is a free browser extension that enables one-click access to subscribed and open access journal articles from thousands of academic websites. Further information can be found at, 'What is EndNote Click and How Do I Use it?'

If you are not a current student or staff member of the university, we can offer Walk-in access to some electronic resources via a guest login.  This enables you to view most eJournals, eBooks and databases that the University subscribes to. You first need to apply for a library card.  Library card applications and the walk-in access service are only available during staffed hours.

Occasionally we experience technical issues with publisher platforms or authentication systems which means you may be unable to access eResources in the usual way.

For more information about what to do if this occurs see How can I access Library online resources if there are technical issues?
