After logging in to Reading Lists @ Liverpool (RL@L) you will see My Bookmarks along the menu row. This contains your bookmarks from across all your lists in RL@L in one place.
They can be sorted by title or date added. The search box allows you to find specific bookmarks by searching for words in the title, author names, and if you’ve previously added any notes to a bookmark.
Bookmarks are presented in the RL@L “house style” but if you prefer to see your bookmarks in an academic citation format, click the drop down View as citations menu and choose your preferred format.
My Bookmarks also allows you to export your bookmarks as a .ris file which can then be imported into your referencing software of choice such as EndNote. For an individual bookmark:
- click on the ellipsis in the Action column
- click Export to citations. This will download from your browser as a .ris file.
For multiple bookmarks:
- make your selection using the left hand tick boxes
- choose Export citations from the Action dropdown menu.
You can also import citations from your referencing software if you have your citations saved as a .ris file.
- From the Add dropdown menu chose Import citations
- In the next window simply upload the relevant file from your computer. You will receive an email from RL@L automatically when the process is complete.
If you already have citations saved in your referencing software this can be particularly useful when creating a new reading list from scratch or if you have a large number of items you would like to add to an existing list.
If you have any further questions or problems please contact your Liaison Librarian or the Reading List Support Team.
